SHAARAI TORAH HIGH HOLIDAY SCHEDULE 2020

Yom Kippur Services  (Please see Covid-19 notes below)

This coming Shabbat is the special Shabbat between Rosh HaShanna and Yom Kippur
called "Shabbat Shuva" (the Shabbat of Returning).  We will be holding services at 10am Shabbat morning.

Sunday Sept. 27th   Kol Nidre 6:15 pm (c..6:15 pm (candles 6:19)
Monday Sept. 28th Morning Services 10am.     (Yizkor..12noon)
Afternoon/Neila Service 5:00pm. (Fast concludes 7:15pm)

ALL ARE INVITED.  NO TICKETS ARE REQUIRED.  WE ASK, HOWEVER, THAT YOU REFER TO THIS  WEBSITE FOR ANY COVID-19 UPDATES BEFORE YOU ATTEND.

  1.  Anyone, who for any reason is not feeling well is not encouraged to attend.

  2. There will be a deep cleaning of the synagogue before Rosh HaShanna.  We have also hired The Enterprise Cleaning Service to perform an electrostatic disinfecting of the area.

  3. Temperatures will be taken at the door and all who enter will be required to wear a mask.  Additional masks and gloves will be available at the door.

  4. Services will be held in the large sanctuary on the 3rd floor.  There will be designated

  5. 6’ separations between the seats  This being said, there will be a maximum number of seats set for 40 men and 15 woman.

  6. Men are encouraged to use their own tallesim, (although some freshly cleaned tallesim will also be available)

  7. Once used, everyone is encouraged to have his/her own Machzor and Chumash set aside in the rows for their continued use over the High Holidays. 

  8. As noted above,  Rosh HaShannah services will be shorter than usual, starting at 10am and ending by 12:30, with a minimum of singing.  Social distancing of 6’ will be maintained at all times including the Torah Service.
